„Serbia Country Business Briefing “ – February 15th, Business Connect Centre, Expo 2020 Dubai

Within the organization of the Serbia National Day at the World’s Exhibition Expo 2020 Dubai, the Republic of Serbia is organizing a special investment and business event „Serbia Country Business Briefing“, at the Business Connect Centre February 15th (from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.)

H.E. Tatjana Matić, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia will officially open the Investment conference and give an executive overview on this occasion. The conference will present the investment potentials and opportunities in the Republic of Serbia in general, but moreover, it will give a deep-dive tour through the three most attractive sectors when it comes to investments and further development: The Agri-food sector and High-Tech and ICT industry and Biotechnology sector in Serbia.

The investment potentials and success stories of the High-Tech & ICT industry will be presented by the Development Agency of Serbia (RAS), representatives of the Delivery Unit and Team for IT and Entrepreneurshipin in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and NGO Digital Serbia Initiative. While the Biotechnology sector and one of the business stories will be presented by the representative of the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, and company Vincula Biotech Group. When it comes to the Agri-food sector the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Serbia and the company from this sector „H&S Fruits“ will give an overview of the investment potentials and success story example.

At the end of the investment conference there will be ceremonial signing of the partnership between the Republic of Serbia and G42 Cloud Technology.

Right after the investment conference and signing the agreement, starting from 4:15 p.m., at the Abu Dhabi Hall starts the Panel Discussion „Serbia Creates Tech: from Raspberries to metaverse“. Leaders from Serbia's private and public sectors will discuss the unique journey that reshaped the country in terms of the digital revolution and competitive investment opportunities while revealing exciting plans for the future. Panelist will be Milan Dobrijević , State Secretary, Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Ana Ilić, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister, Serbia Creates Director & Deputy General Commissioner at Serbia Pavilion at EXPO 2020 Dubai, Ana Šarenac, Assistant Director, Office for the IT and eGovernment, Government of the Republic of Serbia, Nebojša Bjelotomić, CEO, Digital Serbia Initiative and Vladimir Crnojević, CEO, Biosense Institute.

Simultaneously, two special investors sessions will be held on the topics of agri-food and high-tech sector in the two separate conference rooms.
